Save what?

On the other side of the coin, you say "where should people get the money from to save if there are no "jobs available". It is a reasonable question to ask, when individuals have be struggling to make ends meet and then, they hear about saving. It is not feasible when putting food on the table is the number one priority.

Until things change and Americans have jobs that can take care of the immediate situation can most people think about saving for the future.

For the rest that are in a bit more fortunate situation, I say " lets not have one day feast and the other famine. Prepare for tomorrow while you have it today.

Smart Shopper

Many times the media report about tips on saving money and, that the country is in a harsh economic strain I am not saying it is not but, the reality is Americans panic and goes into lock down. They start looking for sales; minimize spending and trying to find ulterior ways of getting things done. Which is okay but stop spending all together is in no way is good for the economy; money needs to be moving so the economy is not at a stand still. But, the whole point is   spending and doing it conscientious, and trying to get your dollars worth. I am not saying to go out and use your savings or stop saving however, it is important to continue life as usually. Tips on saving money will help control spending to an even flow. It pays to be educated and informed about the  retail’s manipulation of the consumer’s pocket book. When you are conscious of this then there is no need to panic but spend wisely and not get caught up in the psychological games retailers play. In order to spend effectively consumers have to be conscious of what they do at home to get their moneys worth. It is an upscale frugality which is spending effectively. Money savings come when you understand your money and let it work for you.

Tip on saving money should be something that's practice all the time, not just at certain time. Take for instant, you are hosting the holiday dinner party this year, most people will show up with nothing. My tip tip is make it a potluck holiday affair, everyone bring their favorite dish, that way you lower the cost to host the party, money savings right there.

The secret

Ever wonder if you are getting the best price for your item? Even though it may be on a sale you cannot be sure. There are websites that will track your item to ensure you are getting the best price possible. This is the true nature of upscale frugality, spending money effectively. The items don’t have to be dirt cheap just the best price for the quality. a quick tip on saving money is to make a list before going to the grocery store, this will keep you from over shopping. http://www.easypricetracker.com and http://www.priceprotectr.com.

Here is a typical psychological manipulation that stores use to get consumers to make unnecessary purchases. Ever wonder why you end up with more thing than we need when we go grocery shopping? The reason being stores place smaller tiles near the pricier items so the wheels on the shopping cart clicks faster so you get the impression you are going too fast and slow do. Right there you are caught, you start gazing at the strategically placed items and the bond is formed next it’s in your cart.

In order to get your money’s worth it pays to haggle. I always say nothing try nothing done, if you do not try to get a better price for your item then you are happy to pay the listed price. Most store managers are able to discount items by a certain percentage by you simply asking. Give them a reason why you are shopping at their store and why you deserve the discount.

This is common practice in many households, placing leftovers in the fridge and as new foods come in it is shoved to the back. These contribute to a lot of unnecessary food wastage and not getting your money’s worth, remember upscale frugality.

Shop but, be wise with your dollar.
